කොළඹ කොටස් වෙළෙඳපොළ හෙට, එනම් 2020 මාර්තු 19 වන බ්‍රහස්පතින්දා දින දෛනික ගනුදෙනු සඳහා යළි විවෘත වනු ඇත. මේ අනුව හෙට පෙරවරු 9.30 ට දෛනික ගනුදෙනු සඳහා කොටස් වෙළෙඳපොළ විවෘත වන අතර පසුවරු 2.30 ට වෙළෙඳපොළ වසනු ඇත.

පසුගිය සිකුරාදා, එනම් 2020 මාර්තු 13 දිනෙන් පසු මෙලෙස කොළඹ කොටස් වෙළෙඳපොළ, දෛනික ගනුදෙනු සඳහා විවෘත වන්නේ දින 5කට පසුවය.

the CSE has been advised to close the market for Trading on Thursday, 19th March 2020.

Accordingly, 19th March 2020 will be considered as a market holiday.

Where are we heading to...? Closing the CSE is not a good solution at all. This should not be control forcefully it should be control naturally. As a country this is not good at all.

Now USDLKR: 186.883 can we control this forcefully?

විවෘත කිරීමට සූදානම් වූ කොටස් වෙළෙඳපොළ යළි වැසෙයි

හෙට (19) දිනයේ දී දෛනික ගනුදෙනු සඳහා විවෘත කිරීමට කටයුතු යොදා තිබූ කොළඹ කොටස් වෙළෙඳපොළ, පෙර කී පරිදි ගනුදෙනු සඳහා විවෘත නොකෙරෙන බව වාර්තා වේ.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා සුරැකුම්පත් හා විනිමය කොමිෂං සභාවේ ඉල්ලීම පරිදි සහ රජය විසින් COVID-19 වෛරසය ව්‍යාප්ත වීම වළක්වාලීම සඳහා ගෙන ඇති ක්‍රියාමාර්ගවලට සහාය දැක්වීම පිණිස, හෙට (19) දින කොළඹ කොටස් වෙළෙඳපොළ විවෘත නොවන බව නිවේදනයක් නිකුත් කරමින් කියා සිටී.

කොළඹ කොටස් වෙළෙඳපොළ ප්‍රධාන නියාමන නිලධාරී රේණුක විජයවර්ධන ගේ අත්සනින් යුතුව නිකුත් කරන ලද එම නිවේදනයේ වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් වන්නේ, හෙට දිනය ද පුද්ගලික අංශයේ නිවාඩු දිනයක් ලෙසින් ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කර ඇති පසුබිමක සහ බැංකු සේවා සීමා කර ඇති තත්ත්වයක් තුළ රජය විසින් මහජන ඒකාරාශීවීම් අවම කිරීම සඳහා ගෙන ඇති පියවර අනුව මෙම තීරණය ගෙන ඇති බවයි.

මේ අනුව පසුගිය මාර්තු 13 වන සිකුරාදා දිනෙන් පසු සති අන්තය ද ඇතුළත්ව අඛණ්ඩ සයවන දිනයටත් හෙට දින කොළඹ කොටස් වෙළෙඳපොළ ගනුදෙනු සඳහා විවෘත නොවනු ඇත.

හෙට දින කොටස් වෙළෙඳපොළ විවෘත කෙරන බවට සහ පසුව විවෘත නොකෙරන බවට සඳහන් කරමින් නිකුත් කරන ලද නිවේදන පහතින් දැක්වේ.

Both CSE and SEC need to take this serious.

Why this much of worry to up and running a software system...? Let's keep our surveillance team to be on alert and all the other stuff can operate remotely including broker huts.

Here we do not need a manual involvement to start up the exchange and broker huts if there are no any hardware or software failure.

CSE need to be re-open soon. When other stock exchanges are up and running why we shout down only CSE at this moment? Any special reason...?

Actually this is not a good thing to happen as a country. Closing mean make more panic. Let it to be settle down first.

I mean not only for CSE as a nation we need to get together and stand up at this instance. We need to find new way to continue our work instead shutting down all. This is the time we need to be more strong as a nation. No need to panic.

My view is closing down CSE for last few days is a good move. This has given ample time to the potential sellers at deadly prices to reconsider their intentions to sell down to see actually they need to do so given the current context or to hold on till the situation is settled. On the other hand this has given ample time to potential investors to asses which areas of the economy will be impacted and which areas will have stable condition and accordingly to select suitable counters to target since the prices are already dead cheap. I had done similar sought of homework and can look at the market with fresh minds. In case if index goes down by another 400-500 points I know exactly my homework can give me lot of fortune in the months to come where the market reaches a consolidation level.

Apart from the reasons highlighted by Inv...

The functioning of the stock market is not just a few hundred traders sitting at their computer. There are thousands of people involved. I will not detail, if you think about it you will realize. Without those thousands of people back at work, the market will not function in a fair and equitable manner.
The semi-lockdown is a good decision imo. Getting all those people to work will be contrary to all the good efforts taking place and will put the those people and the whole country at risk.
