Re: CCS.N0000 ( Ceylon Cold Stores)
" Sri Lankan to the Last Drop".. I used to mockingly interpret it as " If you are a Indian, Maldivian or any other Ian... THEN DONT DRINK... this is only for us SL
Anyway the performance of the company solely depend on SL economy and export orientation is yet not seen..
Therefore the share price will move in the same roller-coaster style as in the past.. In addition to the illiquid nature will make this attractive to traders...

Visitors will get either Tea or that.
Reserved for special occasion.
Cream soda, Necto and Ginger beer were their other best products.
Hope they can bring back the past glory.

I heard JKH/CCS big shot said in a statement that, educated and health conscious middle class is staying away from energy dense carbonated drinks hence the future is challenging !කිත්සිරි ද සිල්වා wrote:When we were growing up, Orange Barley was the best drink.

But mind you, one can have an Orange Barley (or any of their brands) without chill but not the other brand drinks in the market.
That is the advantage that they have to capitalize on.
Not all way side shops in far flung places have refrigeration facility.

Revenue, margins and ROE looking good during last two quarters.
March quarters showing an abnormal spike in profits, through other operating income - did not check what that is.
CCS is now getting interest income from excess cash during last three quarters.
My version of the graphs

Coke once wanted to change the recipe and change taste... But Coke is American and the Americans did not approve any change to coke.. Let me later write about this under Donal Keough's " Ten commandments for business failure" under book summary..
What Coke is for USA is what CCS for Lanka...
I too have nostalgic fever for Aliya Beema...

Missed it till around Rs 230 range ....after that reason was a bit over valued and thought of buying on correction...now look where CCS has moved to
Interestingly I remember somewhere in 2011 it was trading on 300+ & suddenly came down to 85.00 level. I had no idea. Later i got to know there was a right issue.

Re: CCS.N0000 ( Ceylon Cold Stores)
You has pointed out another area which I did not consider earlier...My consideration was increased salaries less on petrol/diesel will make people buy more FMCG and what you have pointed out is also a very valid reason..
Arrival of 2 Million tourists is almost like increasing population for FMCG...but still our tourism is not like Dubai or even Cuba
