Sampath bank moving strongly with rights dates are closing in. 245/- per share will going to get lot of demand when the rights comes to the market. Sampath normal share can appreciate another 10-15 ruppes before xr date.

What they are up to?

They have already raised close to 14 billion from the market through a rights issue and a debenture issue during last three months. And now again they have announced a massive rights issue and a debenture issue to raise another 20 billion.

Squeezing 34 billion within six months? I feel SAMP is getting riskier now.

As per their disclosure to CSE both Rights & Debentures are to raise tier 1 Basal 111 capital of the bank.

All the banks are supposed to raise this capital some how or the other. SAMP is not alone.

Are these stress tests and capital adequacy levels have been directed by the CBSL or we just follow the international standards?

Thought of posting a chart after a long time.

From Oct 2017 to mid Feb 2018, SAMP chart has been going through a converging triangle, which represent a fierce battle between bulls and bears.
Finally, it has ended with an upward breakout, a decisive win for Bulls.

In future, the price will, most probably, demonstrate continuation of the upward trend with a new support line.

There is a possibility for price to swing between a price channel with about 10% width; giving some very low risk swing trading opportunities.

Look for some consolidation near 340/- and a peak near 385/-

there is a strong support around 210. since the support 235 broken and the bear trend is much strong, it can be expected SAMP to come down further and reversal around 210.

I presume the Sampath push down was an artificial one. Al least below a certain level. In my view it should have been stabilized around 250/- if not any intentional push down.
