Have to give it to TPL management. They are doing relatively a superior job when cmpared to other companies. Even during bad times when plantation were almost dead, they managed to keep losses to minimum.

But now TPL is trading at very good prices.
Relatively some other similar earning companies
were trading at a fraction of TPL multiples.

I think one reason is the trust based on TPL,
illquidity of the share and also decent dividends.


But as precausion, it will not be good to push one
luck too much with plantations which ae very cyclic and
sensitive to so many external issues.

To the Rhythm 2017

TPL has recorded highest ever PAT in 2017 and the year was ended in style. The figures of 2015 shows 15 months hence the comparison in Revenue of 2015 will not be fair.

At a glance the PE ratio is well below 5 and attractive. However this level below 5 was there for many years.

However the tea prices to date on a downward trend compared to last year and impact of higher wage costs, the earnings will be affected.

Availability of weedicide and Glyposate ban lifting would affect positively .
