    ජනගහනයට සමානුපාතිකව වැඩිම මද්‍යසාර පරි‍භෝජනයක් සහිත රටවල් 15 මෑතක දී කරන ලද අධ්‍යයනයක දී හෙළි වී ඇත. ලෝක සෞඛ්‍ය සංවිධානය විසින් සිදු කර ඇති මෙම අධ්‍යයනයට අනුව එක් එක් රටවල පුරවැසියෙකු සාමාන්‍ය වශයෙන් වාර්ෂිකව පරිභෝජනය කරනු ලබන මද්‍යසාර ලීටර ප්‍රමාණය මෙමඟින් අනාවරණය වී තිබේ.

    ඊට අනුව වැඩිම මද්‍යසාර පරිභෝජනයක් සහිත ජනතාවක් සිටින රට ලෙස හඳුනාගෙන තිබෙන බෙලරුසියානු රාජ්‍යයයි. එහි එක් පුද්ගලයෙකු වාර්ෂිකව මද්‍යසාර ලීටර 17.32 ක් පරි‍භෝජනය කරනු ලබන බවත් දෙවැනි ස්ථානයේ සිටින ලිතුවේනියාවේ පුද්ගලයෙකුගේ වාර්ෂික මධ්‍යසාර පරිභෝජනය ලීටර 12.65 ක් ලෙසත් වාර්තාවේ.

    මෙහි ඇති විශේෂත්වය වනුයේ මෙම ශ්‍රේණිගත කිරීමේ මුල් ස්ථානවල සිටින සෑම රටක්ම පාහේ පැරණි සෝවියට් සමූහාණ්ඩුවට හෝ යුරෝපීය සංගමයට අයත් රටවල් වීමයි.

    කෙසේ වෙතත් මෙම අධ්‍යයනයේ සම්පූර්ණ ලේඛනය මෙතෙක් නිකුත් කර නොමැති බැවින් සෙසු රටවල්වල ස්ථාන කවරේද යන්න තවමත් අනාවරණය වී නොමැත.

    තවද 2014 වසරේ දී ලෝක සෞඛ්‍ය සංවිධානය විසින් නිකුත් කරන ලද, 2010 වසරේ තොරතුරු ඇසුරින් සකස් කරන ලද වාර්තාවකට අනුව වයස අවුරුදු 15 ට වැඩි ශ්‍රී ලාංකීය පුරවැසියෙකුගේ වාර්ෂික මද්‍යසාර පරිභෝජනය ලීටර 3.7 ක් ලෙසින් වාර්තා වී ඇත. මෙහිදී මද්‍යසාර යන්නට බීර, වයින්, පෙරන ලද සැර මත්පැන් හා මද්‍යසාර අන්තර්ගත වෙනත් බීම වර්ග සැලකිල්ලට ගෙන තිබේ.

    රටවල් 190 ක් ඇසුරින් කරන ලද එම අධ්‍යයනයට ශ්‍රී ලංකාව සිටින්නේ 130 වැනි ස්ථානයේ ය.

    පහත දැක්වෙන්නේ නවතම අධ්‍යයනයට අනුව වැඩිම ජනගහනයට සමානුපාතිකව වැඩිම මද්‍යසාර පරි‍භෝජනයක් සහිත රටවල් 15 යි. එක් පුරවැසියෙකු වාර්ෂිකව පරිභෝජනය කරනු ලබන මද්‍යසාර ලීටර ප්‍රමාණය අදාළ රටට ඉදිරියෙන් දැක්වේ.

    ඇයි කසිප්පු,අරිෂ්ඨ හෙම නැතෙයි.
    නැතිනම් මේ list එක මක්කටෙයි?

    I dont think SL is at 130. Still about 80% people live in village, semi urban places. In these places 90% of men drink almost everyday. Kassippu is the main source. This is not included in the research. Listen to pirith in the morning on TV or radio then come home wasted Very Happy

    Sri Lanka 99% of women dont rink, only males drink.. but the liquor consumption is devided by the total population, including women,so we get a less percentage.

    Other countries male and females both consume equally..

    if you take only male liquer consumption, Sri Lanka should be on top..
