Lanka Tiles expands its operations to India

To meet the rapidly growing demand for wall and floor tiles in the local market, LANKATILES recently entered into a successful strategic partnership with an Indian tile manufacturer Ambani Vitrified (Pvt.) Ltd.
The successful venture has seen LANKATILES placing a large order with the expectation of releasingmore quantities of 24" x 24" tiles to the market in order to meet the escalating market demand. These tiles will also be complied with the standards imposed by the Sri Lanka Standards Institute and will pertain the SLS mark.
Sharing his views, Mahendra Jayasekera - the Managing Director of Lanka Walltiles PLC and Lanka Tiles PLC said, "We don't want to disappoint our consumers as they have maintained great trust in LANKATILES. Therefore, to keep up with the ever increasing demand we have decided to partner with one of the best tile producers in India. The tiles will be produced in India but they will be sold under our brand name LANKATILES"
Further expressing his views, Mahendra Jayasekara added, "We have stationed a few of our employees at the plant based in Gujarat to ensure that the tiles are produced according to our strict guidelines, specifications and standards."
Lanka Tiles PLC, the pioneer floor tiles manufacturer in Sri Lanka was incorporated in 1984 and delivers a wide array of tiles in alluring colours, textures, designs as well as sizes to suit all needs. The tiles are manufactured under the brand name ‘LANKTATILES’ conforming to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, SLS and CE standards, and are exported to several countries such as USA, Canada, Japan, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia as well as some of the European countries.
Conversely Ambani Vitrified (Pvt) Ltd.produce an array of digital glazed vitrified tiles. The company operates a modern plant in Morbi, Gujarat.
Accordingly, the key objective of the new venture between LANKATILES and Ambani Vitrified is to bridge the gap between the supply of good quality tiles and the demand for same in the local market and to ensure LANKATILES meets the rapidly growing market demand.
