Re: TJL.N0000 (Tee Jey Lanka PLC.)
US and EU accounted for 89% of total apparel export from Sri Lanka during 2014/15.
TJL's multi fuel boiler will be in fully operation in 2015/16 and will help to reduce cost.
Globlal cotton price came down during the year 2014/15 due to over supply and TJL is following price hedging for cotton.
But fabric dye price went up by 20% and made it push up the production cost.
Electricity and furnace oil reduction was supportive to the company but still energy cost of Sri Lanka is highest in South Asia.

Re: TJL.N0000 (Tee Jey Lanka PLC.)
Today rupee selling price is Rs. 139.60. Rupee has depreciated from 132 levels to almost 140 levels within 7 months. This will benefit TJL immensely. We can see much improved results for the September quarter due to rupee depreciation and acquisition of 2 new garment factories by TJL.
TJL will be a super stock with attractive dividends in the following quarters. Further, rupee is fastly depreciating and might go down to 142 - 145 level before end of Sept. TJL will benefit a lot due to this. There is a lot of foreign interest on TJL. Foreigners lost interest on JKH and looking to buy attractive stocks like TJL.
Further, present government will never attack the garment industry as 2 of their biggest politicians are biggest garment owners in SL. Daya and Malik.

SLS, The additional shares amounts to nearly 5% and this will be off set by the profits from two new acquisitions and depreciating rupee. TJL has one of the best management in the country with a zero debt balance sheet. I think I'm right. Any way I'm already at a good profit and want to hold stable shares for good dividend yields.

Price is a bit outdated but much hasn't changed.
You're right about the debt and like we talked about in the ROE thread it could give TJL better returns when they take on some debt.
But personally, without the new acquisitions, TJL is not attractive to me. I have not studied the impact of the latest developments.

Like CCS, NEST and LION.
Eagerly waiting to see how the new acquisitions really benefited TJL. Sometimes this might take a few quarters to have better synergies.

Unfortunately, TJL vanished from my watch list when moved above 30/-. Hope it will come back to the list soon.
