What we don't hear is that, what happened today in Paris happens everyday in certain Countries. Media keeps a blind eye on those

(But remember what happened to the killer of the Jaffan Mayor Mr. Dureiappa, when he fledged to France. He was granted political asylum there).
European double standards are now slowly killing them.

Ms Merkel will somehow be blamed by France and USA for the mistakes she made to some extent.
Politics is like a game of chess. One move will have its impact only after many many moves.

Re: Today we are all French.
None of Europians became Sri Lankans that time..or they never had sympathy for poor Sri Lankans..we were just third world human beings who deserved to get killed by terrorists..
Can we imagine if that French terrorist group HQ is in Colombo now, what would be the feeling of French people towards Sri Lankans???Isnt that show we are more civilized than so called westerns..
It is the duty of every human being to stand up against wrong irrespective of who the victim is,, because he will be the next victim. the cycle of violence start from third world and developed world accommodated terrorists, now their turn to face the devil they once turned a blind eye

Re: Today we are all French.
I still hav my doubts on these ISIS fellows how they suddenly appeared a couple of years before. But before Osama I never heard of this group. So someone want to Create a issue and start a war inorder to show their power. Question is who are the big guns behind the scenes.
I may be wrong but just my thoughts/views.

Re: Today we are all French.
Give your prayers for Paris, give your love for Beirut, give your tears for Afghanistan, and give your heart for Iraq. When it’s a time of mourning, don’t make the argument about what was posted on Facebook or social media.
We all have the same enemy, and it is the cowards and the monsters of ISIS. If you want to express your anger, they are the ones that have attacked us.
I know that we all feel like that we are living in terrible times, and in truth these are horrifying events.
But at the same time, this is the moment where we have the potential to show the greatest humanity. If you are Muslim, tell a non-Muslim you love them or that you care for their wellbeing.
If you are a Shia, say this to a Sunni, and if you are a Sunni, say it to a Shia.
If you are a non-Muslim, give your love and compassion to a Muslim.
At your mosques and centers, hold sessions in remembrance of those who were lost in all these lands. Remembrance is not just for the divine personalities of our history, but for all of these innocents. #prayforparis #prayforbeirut #prayforafghanistan #prayforiraq
Pray for the world.

Re: Today we are all French.
100 years ago Greater Syria used to be made up of Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine and Iraq.
In the midst of World War I, two Allied diplomats (Frenchman François Georges-Picot and Briton Mark Sykes) secretly agreed on the post-war division of the Ottoman Empire into respective zones of influence in the Sykes-Picot Agreement of 1916. Initially, the two territories were separated by a border that ran in an almost straight line from Jordan to Iran. However, the discovery of oil in the region of Mosul just before the end of the war led to yet another negotiation with France in 1918 to cede this region to 'Zone B', or the British zone of influence. This border was later recognized internationally when Syria became a League of Nations mandate in 1920 and has not changed to this date.
and again, They created Israel in 1948 annexing part of lands from Syria, Lebanon,Jordan Palestine.
