මේ වන විට ලෝක වෙළදපොලේ බොරතෙල් මිල සීග්‍රයෙන් පහත වැටී ඇති බව පාරිභෝගික අයිතින් සුරැකීමේ ජාතික ව්‍යාපාරය සඳහන් කරයි.
වසර 1991 ට පසු ඉතිහාසයේ ප්‍රථමවතාවට බොරතෙල් බැරලයක් ඇමරිකානු ඩොලර් 32.78 ක මිලකට මේ වන විට ලෝක වෙළදපොලේ අලෙවි වෙමින් පවතින බවද එම ව්‍යාපාරය සඳහන් කරයි.
එම නිසා ලෝක වෙළදපොලේ බොරතෙල් මිල අඩුවීමේ වාසිය ඉතාම ඉක්මනින් මෙරට පාරිභෝගිකයින්ට ලබා දීම සඳහා ඩීසල් මිල හා පෙට්රල් මිල අඩු කරන ලෙස එම සංවිධානය අමාත්‍ය මහින්ද අමරවීර මහතාගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටියි.
