    Absolutely right YK. Hope GR could usher in the change that the country needs. He needs solid economic advice. This moratorium business is the wrong way to set about it. We have half of our borrowings in usd. The Prime minister asking for moratorium from a foreign country, sends the wrong signal to the markets internationally. Already we are paying 6.5% on USD bonds issued by SL; whilst trying to bring down LKR interest rate. This disparity is why foreign firm may find the risk free rate too high to invest in LKR in our equity market. Not rocket science if we think about it. Any discussion on morotorium can increase that rate even further imo...

    How can the "New" Gota , get rid of the practices of his Brother "old" Mahinda
    ( like Mahinda still nurturing the likes of Prasanna Ranaweera ? )  

    I am ashamed that a person with the qualities of  Prasanna Ranaweera
    is presented  as one of the representatives of Sri Lanka of a delegation
    to commemorate Mahatma Ghandi of all    .

    Shouldn't everyone be ashamed ?
    Or is there anyone here who  supports this MR  decision to take PR?

    I don't enjoy being a cynic but my view is that we are still about 8 to 10 years away from a possible "new thought" group entering the ruling class. Much of what seems new now is old in new packaging. Scratch below the surface and its a load of primitive baggage in the locker. Hope I am at least partially wrong.

    I want/ need is a letter from the Politician directly addressed to the Principal to admit my child to school. But what We need is  a transparent mechanism of School Admission...

    Can't they do the same in parliament and cabinet also?
