    Both words; 'good' and 'cheap' are just relative measures, not absolute.

    So, any politician can get away with them.


    But 'Volkswagen' is an absolute measure.

    There was no plan to invest in SL by VW...

    How about if you ask from them whether they've given license to assemble some of their cars to SL? Very Happy
    That doesnt involve any investment I guess.. Senok can carry out their own work.

    Its a VW assemble plant not a VW factory..

    But.. I say look at the opportunities.. Not only VW but several other brands of cars would be assembled here.. And they say for the first 2-3 years it will be for local market.
    Won't these be better than micro in any quality? After all, these are European cars we talk abt.

    We've been assembling all types and brands of vehicles in Bud-vehicle yards neh man!

    So what we are talking of is a bud-car yard ??
    Another Puchikaawatta or another Minuwangoda yard?

    Micro also does the same noh, bud cars? U think we're gonna manufacturer car parts here? pfffffffffffff

    lol.. Its Legal Very Happy

    As far as I recon, those days they bud the hood and body to the chassis.. Like there are famous places for Discovery Bud (EC numbers), toyota Bud cars (goes as assembled in Sri lanka). Most of these are nose cut buds or half cut buds..

    Now on this Hoaxwagan plant, these are assembled bringin down piece by piece. I dont think any part is supposed to manufacture. So what Micro does will be done by these guys. But unlike Micro, these are supposed to be high-end vehicles..

    this could be a scam to dump the vw cars failed / rejected from US on emission test fraud issue.sri lankans are moving away from diesel to petrol and hybrids/electric cars.then , why so much interest to assemble diesel cars? some smart crooks must have bought the rejected diesel cars to dump in the fools paradise.
