    ජනලේඛන හා සංඛ්‍යාලේඛන දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් ගණනය කරනු ලබන ජාතික පාරිභෝගික මිල දර්ශකයේ විචලනය මගින් මනිනු ලබන උද්ධමනය, ලක්ෂ්‍යමය පදනම මත 2016 සැප්තැම්බර් මාසයේ දී වාර්තා කළ සියයට 4.7 හි සිට 2016 ඔක්තෝබර් මාසයේ දී සියයට 5.0 දක්වා ඉහළ ගියේය. 2016 ඔක්තෝබර් මස ලක්ෂ්‍යමය උද්ධමනය කෙරෙහි ආහාර කාණ්ඩය මෙන්ම ආහාර නොවන කාණ්ඩය ද දායක විය.

    වාර්ෂික සාමාන්‍ය පදනම මත මනිනු ලබන ජාතික පාරිභෝගික මිල දර්ශකයෙහි වෙනස 2016 සැප්තැම්බර් මස වාර්තා වූ සියයට 3.8 හි සිට 2016 ඔක්තෝබර් මස දී සියයට 4.0 දක්වා ඉහළ ගියේය.

    මාසික වෙනස සැලකූ විට ජාතික පාරිභෝගික මිල දර්ශකය 2016 සැප්තැම්බර් මාසයේ වාර්තා වූ දර්ශක අංක 113.5 සිට 2016 ඔක්තෝබර් මාසයේ දී දර්ශක අංක 114.7 දක්වා ඉහළ ගියේය.

    මෙම මාසික ඉහළ යෑම සඳහා ආහාර කාණ්ඩයේ අයිතමයන් හි මිල ගණන් ඉහළ යෑම ප්‍රධාන වශයෙන් හේතු විය. ආහාර කාණ්ඩය තුළ සහල්, පොල්, දෙහි සහ එළවළු මිල ගණන් මාසය තුළ දී ඉහළ ගියේය. තවද මධ්‍යසාර පාන සහ දුම්කොළ, රෙදිපිළි හා පාවහන්, ගෘහ භාණ්ඩ, ගෘහ උපකරණ හා ගෘහ ඒකක නඩත්තු, විනෝදාත්මක හා සංස්කෘතික, ආපනශාලා හා හෝටල් සහ විවිධ භාණ්ඩ හා සේවා උපකාණ්ඩයන් හි මිල ගණන් ද 2016 ඔක්තෝබර් මාසය තුළ දී ඉහළ ගියේය.

    මේ අතර නිවාස, ජලය, විදුලිය, ගෑස් සහ අනෙකුත් ඉන්ධන, සෞඛ්‍ය, ප්‍රවාහන, සන්නිවේදන සහ අධ්‍යාපන උපකාණ්ඩයන් හි මිල ගණන් මාසය තුළ දී නොවනස්ව පැවතිණි.

    ආර්ථිකයෙහි යටිදැරි උද්ධමනය නිරෑපණය කරන ජාතික පාරිභෝගික මිල දර්ශකයේ මූලික උද්ධමනය, ලක්ෂ්‍යමය පදනම මත මෙන්ම වාර්ෂික සාමාන්‍ය පදනම මත 2016 ඔක්තෝබර් මාසයේ දී ද සැප්තැම්බර් මස පැවති සියයට 5.7 හි නොවෙනස්ව පැවතුණි.
