    එක්සත් ජනපද ඩොලරයක විකුණුම් මිල මේ වන විට රු. 150.00 සීමාව ඉක්මවා ගොස් තිබේ. ඊයේ දින ශ්‍රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුව විසින් නිකුත් කරන ලද විනිමය අනුපාතික සටහනට අනුව එක්සත් ජනපද ඩොලරයක ගැණුම් මිල රු. 146.53 ක් ලෙසත් විකුණුම් මිල රු. 150.19 ක් ලෙසත් සටහන් වී තිබිණි.

    මේ අතර ශ්‍රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුව විසින් පසුගියදා සිදුකරන ලද මුදල් ප්‍රතිපත්ති විවරණයට අනුව 2016 වසරේ සැප්තැම්බර් මාසය අවසානය වන විට මෙරට දළ නිල සංචිත ප්‍රමාණය එක්සත් ජනසපද ඩොලර් බිලියන 6.5 ක් ලෙස ඇස්තමේන්තු කර තිබේ. එහිදී 2016 වසරේ මේ දක්වා කාලය තුළ ශ්‍රී ලංකා රුපියල සියයට 2.1 කින් අවප්‍රමාණය වී ඇති බව එම නිවේදනයේ වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් වේ.

    මෙහිදී ශ්‍රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුවේ අපේක්ෂාව වී ඇත්තේ ජාත්‍යන්තර මූල්‍ය අරමුදල මගින් ලබාදෙන විස්තීර්ණ ණය පහසුකම අඛණ්ඩව ලබාගැනීමත් සමඟ ඉහළ නැංවුණු විශ්වාසය හේතුවෙන් ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට ලැබෙන මැදි හා දිගුකාලීන මූල්‍ය ප්‍රවාහ දිරිගැන්වෙනු ඇති බවත්, ඒ අතර ඉදිරි කාලයේ දී ආර්ථිකයේ විදේශ අංශය ශක්තිමත් වනු ඇති බවත්ය.
