World cancer day is marked on February 4 to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment.
Cancer can be prevented though leading a healthy life style and avoiding risk factors such as tobacco and alcohol use, excessive intake of salt and exposure to sunlight and pollutants.
Regular cancer screening and early detection offer better chances of a cure.
For every 100 people who get cancer ,33 cases could be prevented though simple life styles changes.
1)Do not smoke
2)Protect yourself from the sun
3)Maintain a healthy weight
4 Lead an active life
5)Eat more plant based foods
6)Eat less meats and processed foods
7)Limit alcohol
8)Get screened
9)Get Vaccinated
10) Know your body
