Siva if it so.....
then it says 8 = 56 and 5 = 20,
then 8 - 5 = 56 - 20
so 3 = 36
so i guess your suggestion might not correct.................

The natural order, I believe.  
Unfortunately the 4 has been omitted with purpose.

Girihell, Seyon, Serene, Chinwi, Seek, KDDND, LSE, Kithsiri, Bala have got it right

LSE's equation can be used to get the answer: A x (A-1) = B

4=12 is missing and the answer is 6

As Bala (and many others) has put:

8x7 =56
7x6 =42
6x5 = 30
5x4 =20
4x3 =12
3x2 = 6
