Yes, all entities bleeding the coffer to death should come under this.
CEB, SLTB, SLR, Srilankan Airline etc.

This has to be done. But question is how the resistance in the form of strikes to be managed. White van concept will be very handy here if anyone to be used it for productive purpose. Very Happy

Oh god, the red flagger strikes again.

Yes Invi, You need a massive political mandate to do real reforms as all the parasites feeding off the system will revolt. And there are many. SOE reforms only, might be possible but to truly uplift the country broader State sector reforms are also needed. Not only the mandate, but the leadership team needs to have the understanding, capacity and depth to see it through. I don't see a single politician or party capable of such on all sides of the political spectrum. It's going to be a long wait buddy.

Authoritarianism is not sustainable and has terrible consequences, it's history in this world is there for those who bother to look it up. To be strong and firm, one does not need to step outside the Constitutional or Legal framework of a country. That kind of thing breeds monsters who have thoughts of their own.

Backstage. Your modesty & humility is now so rare to find in SL. The clarity & intelligence of your posts most impressive. Let’s hope GR pulls it off. Hope opening for a reset is not squandered yet again.

Red flags are based on the perception of the readers so I don't mind. I have told the truth that must be said. People have selected GR with the hope of doing a system change from tit or tat. Changing the way of managing SOE is a must and to change this I don't think mere democratic tactics can do it. Red flaggers who are not prepared to accept this fact can make the presence again if wanted. pirat

Forget others, CEB alone, we can make 10 rural hospitals every year with the amount dishes out to keep this Mafia den happy.

How many Mafia members in CEB, less than 10K.

All you need is someone with a strong back and not a mere mandate given by fools to launch these changes.

And the Red Flaggers are the ardent supporters of the Murder Looter Gang and they think that Intimidations & Threats are the only solutions for everything.

Yes, you are right Invi, let pigs wallow in the mud and enjoy which you and I are not going to enjoy.

The debate on Democracy and and the various interpretations of Democracy is a long and complicated. In simple terms in a Majoritarian Democracy, If the majority of voting public are misinformed, mis educated
and are under economic and social stress, what do you get ?

Yes a strong firm leadership with resolve and decisiveness is the need of the hour. But stepping out of the Judicial framework is totally something else. Lee Kwan Yu or Mahathir both Asian Authoritarians didn't carry out extra Judicial killings or attack the Judiciary. Suharto did that and Duterte. And of course Pinochet, Musolini and Hitler. Hitler was a Democratically elected leader. All strong backbones and we know how all that went. So be careful of what you wish for.
Over the ages the ideal has been the benign Dictator. The few possible candidates for such have been murdered early into there careers.
If Gota is a real strongman, he will work within the laws of this country and not extra-Constitutionally or extra-Judiciary. I certainly do hope so. It is the weak that resorts intimidation and violence, not the real strong.
