    Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has reportedly agreed to nominate UNP Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa as the Presidential Candidate of the United National Front (UNF).

    The agreement had been reached during a meeting of the senior members of the United National Party (UNP) which was held last night, chaired by party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe, according to sources.

    Ministers Lakshman Kiriella, Kabir Hashim, Ravi Karunanayake, Navin Dissanayake, Ranjith Madduma Bandara and Malik Samarawickrama had also participated in this discussion which was held at Temple Trees.

    However, it has been reported that several conditions had been presented when agreeing to give Minister Sajith Premadasa the candidacy.

    The conditions include the abolishing of the Executive Presidency among others, according to UNP sources.

    Meanwhile the Working Committee of the UNP is slated to meet tomorrow at 10.00 a.m. at party headquarters – Sirikotha.

    The Working Committee’s approval is expected to be sought for the UNP’s Presidential Candidate at this meeting, a senior UNP minister said.

    aMAZING not a single comment on above Chuti's post even in this hot political era.

    When the forum in so inactive if a selected few members start to write back like SLS, how many return back to the forum just to attack his posts.

    I have been silently reading the forum seated in a back seat far away from the stage just to check the situation.

    Where are the counter attackers who take quick steps to restrict the number of days SLS presence in the forum?

    Where are the promoters when the market is really attractive?

    Well its very comfortable to watch.. But the moment an actor is on stage many so-far-sepctators get on to the stage just to block the actor. That is my concern.

    Now main two presidential candidates published.
    It's GR vs SP. Others are considerable but not much.
    There are many writers here. This is high time to Express their views here.

    According to my view MS also not decided to not to be a candidate yet.
    And GEN.Mahesh Senanayake good person, bit not for politics.
    There after no any suprise big hit at the moment.
    So GR,SP are the key players
