An 80-year-old retired MI5 agent, John Hopkins, has made a series of astonishing confessions since he was released from hospital in London on Wednesday and told he has weeks to live.

Hopkins claims to have been involved in 23 assassinations for the British intelligence agency between 1973 and 1999, including Princess Diana.

Mr. Hopkins, who worked for M15 for 38 years as an operative, claims he was often used as an hitman by the agency, to discreetly assassinate individuals considered a threat to the domestic security of the United Kingdom.

Trained as both a mechanical engineer and munitions expert, Mr. Hopkins claims he also has extensive experience of less conventional methods of inflicting death and destruction, including chemicals and poisons.

No surprises this caught the eye of Kithsiri who likes to studies about the world Smile

I did a bit of researching on this when I saw this news sometime ago via facebook.

Here is the thing.

1) We cannot rule out the theory in this story for cause of Diana death. I read somewhere Diana has even said before her death she was expecting a car crash !!! ( need to find the source)

2) But I think this story about this MI% agent confessing maybe a hoax.

Why?

i) This was first posted in more "gossip" like site called Snopes .

ii) non of the main stream media around the world carried this sensational news in their mediums ( even outside UK)

iii) this person is highly unlikely to come to open media and say this . Even if not afraid to die, he should be scared of after effects his family can have after he dies

But how and why did Diana really die , there are some very interesting speculative reasons. Like I said Diana has once revealed her life was under threat.

I am sure there is some truth in this. Too much negative thoughts will result in no good.

But in Diana case, it was fascinating that she apparently relevealed ( according to some news which I did have time to find) that there was plan to kill her and it could be car accident!
