    අයවැය යෝජනාවන් හි සඳහන් වන පරිදි බැංකු සහ අනෙකුත් මූල්‍ය සමාගම් මගින් සිදුකෙරෙන මුදල් ගනුදෙනු සඳහා මූල්‍ය ගනුදෙනු ගාස්තුව නමින් රු. 10,000 කට රු. 5 ක බද්දක් අය කිරීම සිදුකරනු ලබන්නේ පාරිභෝගිකයාගෙන් නොවන බව මුදල් අමාත්‍ය රවී කරුණානායක මහතා අවධාරණය කළේය. ඊයේ (28) දෙරණ 360 සංවාදාත්මක දේශපාලන වැඩසටහන සමඟ එක්වෙමින් අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ බව පැවසීය.

    “ඒ රු. 5 ගෙවන්නේ බැංකුව මිසක්, ඒ ගිණුම් තියෙන එක්කෙනා නොවෙයි. ජනතාවට මේකෙන් බරක් පැටවෙන්නේ නැහැ. බැංකුවල ලාභයෙන් තමයි මේක ගෙවන්න තියෙන්නේ“, මුදල් අමාත්‍යවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් කියා සිටියේය.

    Did not know until this post.

    So here is it from the budget speech

    Financial Transactions Levy (FTL)
    463. Honorable Speaker, I propose to introduce a new levy called FTL as a contribution for social development at the rate of Rs. 5 per Rs.10,000 on the total

    cash transactions including easy cash by banks and other financial institutions. FTL will be treated as expenditure for income tax purpose.""

    I suppose like mentioned above banks will recover it through bank charges, hike in interest rates. Increase will be for everyone.

    Anyways why cant they make people who do not pay tax to make them pay by formulating a strategy. For example businessmen, professionals who do private practice like lawyers and doctors etc. Taxing the same people in different ways wont help.

    නොදකින් ... මගුලක් කියෝනව FM.. මුන්ගේ මොළවල් වල මොනවා දුවනවා ඇත්ද?

    ලස්සනට අලුතින් දැන් accounts එයි premier/advance customer කියල. එහෙම නැති උන්ට ගහයි service fee කියල..
    බලමුකෝ බොලේ අපිටම එන හැටි.. මොන කොම්පනියද උන්ට ආපු බොලේ උන්ම ගැහුවේ?

    විකාර කතා නොකිය හිටපල්ලා.
    දැනටමත් ATM එකන් withdraw කරනකොට 5/- ක් ගන්නවා. ඒක හිමීට 10/- කොරහම වැඩේ ශේප් නේ.

    මොකක්ද බං රු 5 ?. හිඟන්නෙකුට දුන්න කියල හිතා ගනිං.
