Having healthy discussions is a must in a stock forum.
We have go through our own writing and understand our own behaviour. The past posts are like mirrors. It shows where we must groom up.
It shows us how hot news, technical work and where it does not work.
Small was predicting short term gains and Shashi was predicting long term gains.
Now has the share reached Smalls' target or has lived up to the expectations created ?
Nine months earnings which was 6.05 in 2015 has come down to 1.28 in 2016.

Re: Orient Finance PLC--(Share_Valuation_Report)
Take bigger companies such as NDB, DFCC, CDB, etc , etc the same case. Even Comb went from 190+ to rs 120 and after that it's Rs 140 now. HDFC was Rs 60 a few months back and then came to lower Rs 40 levels. LFIN was expected to goto Rs 150 long time back but still at Rs 120 kept by its DY. VFIN is a Rs 100 share trading at Rs 60. PLC which was Rs 28 some time back is now Rs 16.50.
Important to understand that this was a LT share from start. Any evaluation should happen after that period. If only BFN came down, that is a different case and has a point.
What is important is that now almost all B&F shares are at a Strong Buy for LT holders.
As i indicated over 3 months back the macro economic factors are getting better (even though money printing continues to happen sporadically, which is bad unless sterilized quickly like in Jan ). Rating agencies are 3-6 months late normally.

This is why predicting is difficult. We can seed the results of past and calculate the impact of new incidents. Yet the macro level economic condition affects to all shares and will affect all shares irrespective of its individual performance.

One common character of shares selected to Pump & Dump is having less number of shares in the hands of General Public,

Means , when the Mother company is not trading its shares on day to day basis, the players can create rumors and Pump and Dump share.
Long ago there were rumours that LOLC is going to buy Peoples Merchant Bank. (PMB).Even now 87% of its shares belongs to People's Bank Group.
Yet Nimal Perera could easily pump and dump PMB giving good return to some while burning some investors.

This kind of successful Pump & Dump actions echoed in retail investors mind and they also gang up with stock brokers to experiment the same.
What Che did in Cuba, Wijeweera wanted to be done in Sri Lanka.
Wijeweera failed yet gave the boost to adventurous youth creating two bubbles.
