    Luckily we have DNA testing, otherwise at least 1 out of 3 people could have get death penalty. What if the "Showing weapon" method was still there, 3 innocent people might have shot dead by now. Now we can assume how many people got false accusations and jailed.
    This justifies why we should not consider death penalty in Sri Lanka.

    Sri Lanka media and the police department needs serious rehabilitation if this country needs to move forward an inch from here.

    I read somewhere that we are getting help from China for setting up a specialist unit for such investigations but the question is, do they have competent persons to run & manage such units. Shocked

    blame our beloved politicians,, they used police for their own criminal work and we people voted them..

    More and more evidence suggesting the Police Department is one of the most disgraceful institutions in Sri Lanka. Again I would like to suggest serious rehabilitation programme for the police department.
