    As the industry continues to phase out the Boeing 747 passenger jet in favour of more fuel-efficient airliners, one has to wonder where all these aircraft end up.

    Are they scrapped for parts or recreated into something totally new? Well, the answer is both, and although many of the double-deckers have been sent to the boneyard, a few have been put to good use in the form of education and even hospitality.
