Sri Lankan stocks end lower, foreign buying in CCS Empty Sri Lankan stocks end lower, foreign buying in CCS

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lankan stocks closed lower Wednesday, after three straight days of gains, with a fall in Ceylon Tobacco Company dragging the benchmark index lower while foreign buying was seen in Ceylon Cold Stores.

The All Share Price Index closed at 6,528.57, down 23.26 points (0.36%) while the more liquid S&P SL20 index fell 14.29 points (0.39%) to close at 3,676.50. Turnover was Rs270 million.

Ceylon Tobacco Company fell 2.5% or Rs26.50 to close at Rs1,036.

First Capital Equities said foreign inflows were seen for the third consecutive day amidst low foreign participation.
