ඒ අනුව අයවැය සහන දීමනා හා ජාතික අවම වේතන පනත් බලාත්මක වනු ඇති අතර, වත්මන් ආණ්ඩුවේ මැතිවරණ පොරොන්දුවක් අනුව ක්‍රියාත්මක වූ පෞද්ගලික අංශයේ වැටුප් වැඩිකිරීම මේ අනුව නීති මගින්ද බලාත්මක කර ඇත.

පසුගිය වසර තුළ රුපියල් 1500 ක සහ මේ වසරේ රුපියල් 1000 ක වැටුප් වැඩිකිරීමක් සිදුකරන ලෙස රජය පෞද්ගලික අංශය වෙත දන්වා තිබුණි.

අදාළ පනත සම්මත වීමත් සමග පෞද්ගලික අංශයේ රුපියල් 40,000 අඩු වැටුපක් ලබන සේවකයන්ට රුපියල් 2500 වැටුප් වැඩි වීම හිමිවිය යුතු අතර, අදාළ කාලයන් තුළ හිඟ මුදලද සහිතව එය ලැබිය යුතුවේ.

I don't know. Maybe they have considered USD 2 per day = Rs 300 . Which means Rs 9000 to 10k levels.

Even if the employed person lives out of Colombo and is living alone, still Rs 10k is very challenging and is not enough. These are of course the people who actually "do" work.

Yes, the WB takes US $ 2 per day as the cut-over mark.  

I don't know. Maybe they have considered USD 2 per day = Rs 300 . Which means Rs 9000 to 10k levels.
Even if the employed person lives out of Colombo and is living alone, still Rs 10k is very challenging and is not enough. These are of course the people who actually "do" work.

While the productive group fights to get a Rs 10k "minimum monthly wage" a seriously non productive group gets Rs 10k "increment" with no sweat..so to speak... (No offense for the 5% of productive people in that group including ALL Doctors and Teachers) .
