    Have a closer look for ASIR. High volumes gives us some indication. One of high foreign interested counter during last week. Who knows Softlogic pathirage has some plans to sell a stake to a foreign party at a higher price just to settle the HNB loan taken to purchase ODEL. He is at a profit now with ASIR......... Very Happy

    Foreign purchase was well above Rs5.0mn for the last week.

    Pathirage will get money for ODEL when the former ASHA central land at Horton place is sold to Rs. 2.5 billion. ASIR is the direct benificiary of this deal, this is a one reason for renewed interest

    Regarding hspital bisiness, ASIR group and NHL are the front line players, before 2005, NHL was the leader of the group, but after acquired by Pathirage, ASIR has gone far, meanwhile NHL management were fooling around with investing non related business like loss making GHLL which really retarded the growth of NHL. However NHL also re entering the game with completing their massive upgrade at the current location and starting their first regional hospital in Negombo within this years. So NHL also into some growth, but we didn't see much appreciation of share price in this counter when compared to ASIR.
    This sector usually trades at higher P/E ratio, understandably this sector is at it's steepest rate of growth in next few years to come along with increasing Per capita income and penetration of health insurance schemes.

    So I would like to consider both ASIR and NHL as real growth stocks. recently capital alliance brokers issued a strong buy for ASIR considering above factors.

    ASIR is trading at Rs.21.50
    ASIR has a very low NAV of Rs. 4.62.
    Annualized EPS is less than 1/=

    Don't you think this is extremely overvalued.

    I think foreigners do and follow research report more than locals,and they identify real stocks to invest either value stocks or growth stocks more precisely than many locals.

    ASIR does seem to be attractive many investors. I remember brokers including CAL have recommended a buy, but this does not fit my criteria sadly so I do not hold at present.

    Not specifically NAV but the high P/E for my taste. I understand it is not much higher than some of the other hospitals and it a good performer, but some part of my mind tells me not to jump in. A lot riding on future performance.

    Keep an eye on ASIR. Now two times touched the top resistance mentioned by small. Next time will be another JINS. Go through the valuations done by CAL. There strong buy applies for ASIR.

    In addition to future performance, smart investors are waiting to the former Asha central land sale to happen, Which they are to get an unbelievable capital gain if this happens to the said numbers..
