    මනෝ සේටිඨා මනෝමයා
    මනසාචෙ පදුට්ඨෙන
    භාසතීවා කරෝතිවා
    තතෝ නං දුක්ඛමන්චේති
    චක්කංව වහතෝ පදං

    අර්ථය: චෛතසිකයන්ට හෙවත් සිතේ ඇතිවන ගති වලට සිත පෙරටුය. ඒ ගති සිතම ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨ කොව පවතින්නෝය. සිතින්ම උපදින්නෝය. ඒ නිසා යමෙක් නරක, කිලිටි සිතින් යමක් කියයි නම් කරයි නම් (කරත්තය අදින ගොනා අනුව රෝදය යන්නාක් මෙන්) ඔහු පසු පස්සේ දුක ලුහු බදී.

    අර්ථය: චෛතසිකයන්ට හෙවත් සිතේ ඇතිවන ගති වලට සිත පෙරටුය. ඒ ගති සිතම ශ්‍රෙෂ්ඨ කොට පවතින්නෝ ය. සිතින්ම උපදින්නෝ ය. ඒ නිසා යමෙක් හොද පහන් සිතින් යමක් කියයි නම් කරයි නම් සිරැර නොහැර යන සෙවනැල්ල මෙන් ඔහු පස් පස්සේ සැපය ලුහු බදී.
