මම ඕස්ට්‍රේලියාවේ මුලින්ම මෙඩිකල් එකකට ගිය දවසේ පෝරමේ පුරවන්න තිබුනා කලින් කරලා තියෙන ශල්‍යකර්ම ගැන. මම ලිව්වා සිසේරියන් එකයි, ඇපෙන්ඩිසයිටිස් එකයි ගැන. මගේ බඩ දිහා බලපු ඒ දොස්තර ඇන්ටි එයාගෙ ඩිපාර්ට්මන්ට් එකේ එයත් එක්ක ඒ වෙලාවෙ හිටපු අනික් දොස්තරලා තුන් දෙනාට තකහනියක්ම කතා කරා. මම බයත් උනා මමවත් මං ගැන නොදන්න ලෙඩක් මෙයාලා හොයාගෙන ද කියලා. තිරෙන් එලියෙ හිටිය අපේ මහත්තයත් බය වෙලා. මොකෝ ගොඩක් දියුණු රටක්නෙ. ඒ දොස්තර ඇන්ටි අර ගොල්ලන්ට කතා කරේ මගෙ සිසේරියන් කට් එක පෙන්නන්න. "බලන්න මේ කට් එක. Surgery එකක් කරලා කියලා හොයන්නවත් බෑ. මෙයා කිව්වෙ නැත්තං මට මේක මිස් වෙනවා. ලංකාව මෙඩිකල් පැත්තෙන් මෙච්චර දියුණු රටක්ද" කියලා. මම හිනා උනා. මම රටට අලුත් නිසා මට හරියටම ඒ කතාවෙ ඝනත්වය තේරුනේ නෑ.

ඒත් දුවව හම්බවෙන්න ගිහාම මම ඒක අත්දැක්කා. ලංකාවෙ hospital එකකට සම්බන්ධව හිටපු මට ඒ වෙනස පුදුම විදියට දැනුනා. අපේ භාෂාවෙන් කිව්වොත් ඒක ආණ්ඩුවේ මහ ඉස්පිරිතාලයක්. දරුවො හම්බවෙන්න අම්මලා හතර දෙනෙක් එකවර ආවා කියලා එයාලා stress වෙලා හිටපු හැටි. මට කැන්‍යුලා එක ගහන්න දොස්තරලා හය දෙනෙක් ආවා. ඒත් බැරි උනා. හත්වෙනියා නෝම්බි නිසා නිවාඩු හිටපු මැලේසියානු තරුණ වෛද්‍යවරියක්. මං හින්දම ඇවිත්. අනේ අහක බලාගෙන සුටුස් ගාලා කට්ට ගහලා ගියා. එදා ඉඳන් ඉස්පිරිතාලෙකට ගිය හැමදාම අත්දැක්කා බොහෝ විට මේ මිනිස්සු තියරි සහ හිස්ට්‍රි මත පදනම් වෙච්ච අය කියලා. ඒ අතරෙ සුපිරි වැඩ්ඩෙක් හිටියොත් එයා මයිග්‍රන්ට් කෙනෙක් වීමේ සම්භාවිතාව වැඩී.

අපේ දරුවො දෙන්නටම පොඩි කාලේ වීස් එක ආවා. මෙහෙ එකම බෙහෙත පෆ් එක. යන යන තැන ඒක අරං යන්න ඕනෙ. එක හරියන වැඩක් නෙවෙයි නෙ. අපි නිවාඩුවට ගිය වෙලාවේ දරුවො දෙන්නව නුවර ඉන්න හොඳම ඩොක්ටර් කෙනෙක්ට පෙන්නුවා. ඩොක්ටර් මාස තුනකට බෙහෙත් දුන්නා. ඊට පස්සේ මාස තුනෙන් තුනට අපේ අම්මා ඩොක්ටර්ව චැනල් කරලා යනවා. ඩොක්ටර් ෆෝන් එකෙන් දරුවන්ගෙ තත්වය අහලා බෙහෙත් දුන්නා අවුරුද්දකට ඩිංගක් වැඩි කාලයක්. එදා ඉඳන් අද වෙනකල් අපේ ගෙදර පෆ් නෑ. ඒත් එක්ක පෆ් ගත්ත අනික් දරුවො තවම පෆ් ගන්නවා.

මේ මිනිස්සු කිසි දෙයක් දන්නෙ නෑ කියනවා නෙවෙයි. තාක්ෂණ ඉස්සරහින් හිටියට දැනුම ඉන්නෙ පිටිපස්සෙන් කියලා ඉස්පිරිතාලෙකට යන හැමදාම හිතෙනවා. දුව හම්බ උන අලුත හිතුනා "අනේ මෙහෙ paediatricians ලට වඩා කොච්චර දේවල් අපේ midwives ලා දන්නවද කියලා. අනේ මං උදේ හවහ පාවිච්චි කරන සම්පත් අවතක්සේරු කරනවා නෙවෙයි. මේ රටේ සෞඛ්‍ය ක්ෂේත්‍රයෙන් මං ලැබූ සේවාවන් අපමණයි. ඒත් අර පිටරටකදි අපි බඩුවක් ගන්න ගිහාම රුපියලත් එක්ක compare කරන එක ඉබේම වෙනවනෙ. අන්න ඒ වගේ දෙයක්. හැබැයි අදටත් මම මෙහෙදි ලංකාවේ දොස්තර කෙනෙක් හොයනවා ඒ විශ්වාසෙ නිසාම.

මම හැමදාමත් කියනවා "අනේ මේ රටේ තියෙන සම්පත් වලින් 5%ක් අපෙ ලංකාවේ ඉස්පිරිතාල වල තිබුණා නම් අපේ දොස්තරලා ප්‍රාතිහාර පානවා" කියලා. මේක මම මෙහෙ ආව කාලෙ ඉඳන් කියන කතාවක්. මේ කොරෝනා එක්ක දුප්පත් පුංචි ලංකාව කරන ෆයිට් එක දැකලා ඒක ලියන්නම හිතුනා. නොලිව්වොත් ඒක කුහකකම. ඒ නිසා දුප්පත් ලංකාව මේ වෙලාවෙ ගහන ගේම සුළුපටු නෑ.

මේ දියුණු රට මුලින්ම කතා කරන්නෙ රටේ ආර්ථික බිඳ වැටීම ගැන. ඊට පස්සේ පබ්ස්, හොටෙල්ස් වහන්න උනාම ඇති වෙන විරැකියාව ගැන. ඊට පස්සේ ඉස්කෝල වැහුවොත් සෞඛ්‍ය ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ අයට ළමයි දාලා එන්න තැනක් නැති එක. ඔය අස්සේ කොරෝනා ගැනත් කියනවා. අරවට සාපේක්ෂව කොරෝනා මිනිස්සුන්ට කරන හානිය අඩුයි.

ඒත් රටෙන් බාගෙකටත් වඩා අඩු ආදායම්ලාභී පවුල් ඉන්න, එයිනුත් බාගෙයක් එදා වේල පිරිමහගන්න, අවම පහසුකම් ඇති රෝහල් සහිත පුංචි දුප්පත් ලංකාව රටම වහලා දාලා මේ දඟලන්නෙ ඔබේ ජීවිතය බේරන්න විතරමයි.

Appreciation of something that needed to be appreciated, I have no qualm.
But sudden surfacing of hypocrites in high numbers living in other parts of the world on social media is a worrying sign to me.

You are wrong malan when you mentioned 'margin of wasted money'. It has to be 10% of the money robbed from the country by XXX since the introduction of open economy. Anyone disagree please let me know.

Some robberies look like wasted but they are not.
Look at the amount of money the treasury pumps in to keep the Ceylon Electricity Board afloat.
With that kind of money, we can build 10 rural hospitals every year.
But fear of so many things, no party wants to antagonize just 7000 employees at the CEB.
Is it waste or robbery?

If you count all, we could build 200,000 ICU beds, well placed to face any epidemic..

other thing is if you want to get Corona get it now because now ICU beds are available as we have less than 100 patients. But in future depending on the patients volume there will be a severe competition to get an ICU bed, so if you get corona at that time, you are equal to dead person. Or else if you have good political backing hospital will reserve an ICU bed for you. that is the gloomy picture of our health care system. I wonder what did our doctors do in the past???

when there is a drought electricity board engineers complain there will be electricity problem in the future. when a bridge is going to collapse road engineers make a shout the bridge will collapse, but so far i have not heard our doctors complaining about we have few ICU beds and we will face severe consequences for that.
