Sri Lanka’s car registrations increase
According to the Mid-Year Fiscal Position Report 2014 released by the Finance Ministry, while 7,177 motorcars had been registered during the first quarter of 2013, the first quarter of 2014 has recorded a registration of 8,737 motorcars in Sri Lanka, which is an increase of 1,560 vehicles.
The number of motorcars imported to Sri Lanka this year compared to the same period of last year too increased significantly to 52.9 percent.
While 5,896 motorcars had been imported during the first quarter of 2013, during the first quarter of this year 9,013 motorcars have been imported, states the Finance Ministry.

Good sign for Finance sector.
Seems that low interest rates are fuelled this.

Would good to see the break down of the vehicle types. If so we can vaguely figure what companies may benefit most. In geenral if this trend continues most companies will I guess.
