Re: LIOC.N0000 (Lanka IOC PLC)
There are rumours of non reliability of their financials.
One leading Foreign Fund active in CSE , Norwegian Petroleum Fund is not interested in any oil related company.
Some trades who suddenly purchased for quick gains will sell when seeing other pastures more greener.
Government has imposed an additional burden as tax , world oil price was moving upward since the day quarter results were released.
***************************************
Positive side is still oil price sees over supply status. Net assets value of the company is almost equal to traded prices. EPS of first quarter is very attractive. Company has used its excess money to buy oil when it was low. Cash in hand came down but inventory went up. Company has proved that its Dividends really vary with EPS..
JB Cocoshell who invest for long term is in second highest position.
***********************************
So we see a battle of bulls and bears with LIOC.

That's a wonderful site for technical indications.
Some indicators say "Buy" and some say "Sell".
So, all what you have to do is; when you feel like buying, just look at indicators say "Buy". When you want to sell, just look at "Sell" indicators.
Is that how it works?

Re: LIOC.N0000 (Lanka IOC PLC)
As I see, the difference between indicators is; some takes a little longer to say the same thing.
Am I missing anything here?
Is there any indicator to say, "Sell" at the very top and "Buy" at the very bottom?

Re: LIOC.N0000 (Lanka IOC PLC)
I challenge, tossing coin and 'Buy' on "head" will work better than most indicators.

Re: LIOC.N0000 (Lanka IOC PLC)
As I know this site analyse few indicators and MAs. If more indicators signal buy it will be strong buy in TA and vice versa. same for MA.Yin-Yang wrote:yellow knife wrote:For those who want to trade LIOC this link will be useful

Touching 38/- is possible; that's a sweet spot.

Re: LIOC.N0000 (Lanka IOC PLC)
Technically speaking:
Dropping to 37.50~38/- was expected, in anticipation of filling the gap created in 12th Aug.
Now the gap is almost filled.
Next most probable stop should be near 44/-
If dropped further 36.5 will be the level to watch.

However, this can easily be passed to the customer in couple of months.
LIOC would be a potential pick ard 33-34 range while 30 would be the worst expected (if this news can further topple this). But once ppl realise the impact is low, at this point even a collection can initiate..
