    ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට විශේෂ ප්‍රතිලාභ සහිත වරණීය තීරුබදු සහනය පිළිබඳ පොදු ක්‍රමය (ජී.එස්.පී) නැවත ලබාදෙමින් ඇමෙරිකා එක්සත් ජනපද ජනාධිපති ඩොනල්ඞ් ට්‍රම්ප් අයවැය පනතට අත්සන් තබා ඇතැයි කොළඹ එක්සත් ජනපද තානාපති කාර්යාලය අද (28) සඳහන් කළේය.
    ඇමෙරිකා එක්සත් ජනපදය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට ලබා දී තිබූ ජී.එස්.පී සහනය පසුගිය වසරේ දෙසැම්බර් මස 31 වැනි දිනෙන් අවසන් වූ අතර මෙම වසර (2018) වසර මූල්‍ය කටයුතු තැබු අවස්ථාවේදී ශ්‍රී ලංකාව ද ඇතුළු රටවල් රැසකට දී තිබූ එම සහනය දීර්ඝ කර නැති බව සඳහන් කරමින් ඇමෙරිකා එක්සත් ජනපද තානාපති කාර්යාලය ඉකුත් වසරේ දෙසැම්බර් 29 වැනිදා නිවේදනය කළේය.

    කෙසේ නමුත් පසුගිය 23 වැනිදා එක්සත් ජනපද ජනාධිපති ඩොනල්ඞ් ට්‍රම්ප් ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට සහ මාලදිවයිනට නැවත වරක් ජී.එස්.පී සහනය අනුමත කරමින් අයවැය පනතට අත්සන් තබා ඇතැයි කොළඹ එක්සත් ජනපද තානාපති කාර්යාලය ට්විටර් පණිවිඩයක් නිකුත් කරමින් සඳහන් කර තිබිණි.

    මේ අනුව 2020 වසරේ දෙසැම්බර් 31 වැනිදා දක්වා ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට ඇමෙරිකා එක්සත් ජනපදයෙන් හිමිවන ජී.එස්.පී සහනයේ වරප්‍රසාද හිමිවනු ඇත.

    ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට ඇමෙරිකා එක්සත් ජනපදයෙන් ජී.එස්.පී සහනය ද යුරෝපා සංගමයෙන් ජී.එස්.පී ප්ලස් සහනය ද හිමිවේ. මේ වසරේ ජනවාරි 1 වැනිදා සිට මාර්තු 23 වැනි දින දක්වා ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට එක්සත් ජනපදයට භාණ්ඩ හා සේවා අපනයනය කරන ලද්දේ තීරුබදුවලට යටත්වය.

    පසුගිය වසර දෙකක කාලයේදී ශ්‍රී ලංකාව ඇමෙරිකා එක්සත් ජනපදයට අපනයනය කර තිබෙන භාණ්ඩ හා සේවාවල වටිනාකම එක්සත් ජනපද ඩොලර් බිලියන 5 ඉක්මවයි. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ඇඟළුම් වෙළෙඳපොළේ ප්‍රධානතම ආනයනකරු වූයේ එක්සත් ජනපදයයි. ශ්‍රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුවේ දත්තවලට අනුව ශ්‍රී ලංකාව පසුගිය වසරේදී පමණක් සමස්ත අපනයනවලින් ඇමෙරිකා එක්සත් ජනපදයට කර තිබෙන අපනයන ප්‍රතිශතයක් ලෙස සියයට 25.6ක් එනම් හතරෙන් එකක් වේ.

    Trumps budjet reminds me RK s previous budjet. වෙනස් වුේ නැත්තෙ ගරු කතානායක තුමනි කෑල්ල විතරයිනෙ.

    Haha. I guess he went 1 step further than RK even.

    He reduced company and rich people tax from 35 to 20%!
    Just imagine what savings of 15% means to Billionaries , Google , Facebook and Walmart.
    We are talking about Billions of $ to the rich.

    He has also increased Military budget.
    But I see he is cutting aid to elderly, children, transportation !

    Trump is learning Sri Lankan style. But sadly Sri Lanka is not learning Trump style
    at least with respect to Company taxes.
    If SL cut 15% tax from companies ( while cutting aid for farmers and poor)
    CSE will fly off the roof.
