විදුලි දුම්රිය 2020දී ධාවනයට

2020 වනවිට ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ විදුලි දුම්රිය සේවාව අරම්භ කිරීමට සැලසුම් කර ඇතැයි ප්‍රවාහන හා සිවිල් ගුවන්සේවා අමාත්‍යාංශය පවසයි. විදුලි දුම්රිය සේවා ව්‍යාපෘතිය ආරම්භ කිරීම නිමිත්තෙන් අදාළ පාර්ශ්වයන් අතර අද (06දා) කොළඹ ටාජ් සමුද්‍ර හෝටලයේදී විශේෂ තාක්ෂණික වැඩමුළුවක් පැවැති අතර එහිදී මෙම කරුණු අනාවරණය විය.
ව්‍යාපෘතියේ මුල් අදියර යටතේ වේයන්ගොඩ සිට පානදුර දක්වාත්, වේයන්ගොඩ සිට පොල්ගහවෙල දක්වාත්, රාගම සිට මීගමුව දක්වාත්, කැලණිවැලි මාර්ගයේ මරදාන සිට හෝමාගම දක්වාත් විදුලි දුම්රිය සේවාව ආරම්භ කිරීමට නියමිතය.
ව්‍යාපාතිය යටතේ පැයට කි.මී.100ක ධාවනය වේගයකින් ගමන් කළ හැකිවන පරිදි දුම්රිය මාර්ගය නවීකරණය කිරීම, නවීන විදුලි සංඥා පද්ධතියක් සවිකිරීම, ස්වංක්‍රීය දුම්රිය ආරක්ෂක තිරිංග පද්ධතියක් හා නව දුම්රිය ස්ථාන 04ක් ඉදිකිරීමට නියමිතය.
එමෙන්ම කොළඹ සිට පානදුර දක්වා දුම්රිය මාර්ගය 02ක් ඉදිකෙරෙන අතර, ඒ හරහා දුම්රිය ධාවනයේදී ඇතිවන තදබදය අවම කිරීමට හැකිවන බව යෝජනා වී තිබේ.
ව්‍යාපෘතියේ නිර්මාණ සැලසුම් කටයුතු ලබන වසරේ ආරම්භ කෙරෙන අතර, එම වසරේ දෙසැම්බර් මස වනවිට ඉදිකිරීම් කටයුතු ආරම්භ කිරීමට සැලසුම් කර තිබේ.සමස්ත ව්‍යාපෘතිය සඳහා ඇමෙරිකානු ඩොලර් මිලියන 625ක් වැය වන බව ව්‍යාපෘති අධ්‍යක්ෂ පාලිත සමරසිංහ මහතා පැවසීය.

The question is not how trains are run,,electricity or diesel or water.. whatever it is can train be accommodated among high congested road network and millions of pedestrians in the western province?????
we see thousands of train-vehicle and train-man accidents..

It depends on how things get planned and implemented.
Countries such as Singapore has a higher population density than our Western province and yet well planned and implemented with minimal accidents.

Till 2020 they will come up with earth shattering plans for development. Thats one thing I will guarantee you.
